Gathered Work

The change record.

Every institution page on this site carries its own change log. This page is the same record read across all of them, once a month: what a source changed in its own published pages, what this project got wrong and corrected, and what was added. Each entry is short and links to the change log where the full account sits.

Three kinds of entry are kept apart, because they are different facts. An institution rewording its own page is the institution's doing. A correction is an error of ours, and is called one. A difference that came from how this project's tools read a page, with the page itself unchanged, is reported as that and never as a change by the institution.

Where a source changed wording that a page quotes, the superseded wording is quoted beside the current. Every date is the date a source or a capture carries. Nothing here is a disqualification determination, a deadline calculation, or legal advice.

2026-09Sep 1 to Sep 30, 2026

September 2026

The first issue. Two institutions reworded a sentence their pages quote; both are updated below with the superseded wording quoted beside the current. Ninety-four institution pages were added. Nothing else this project watched for — a page's own error, or two of an institution's documents disagreeing — turned up this month.

What the sources changed

Middle Tennessee State University. The Jones College of Business IT Services page this institution's page quotes on AI-detector accuracy reworded its sentence on false-positive rates. The nightly review first caught the difference Sep 24 and it stood unchanged through Sep 29; confirmed still reworded and corrected on the page Oct 1. MTSU's page, change log at the bottom.

Was
"...these tools have proven to have a high false positive rate, meaning that they are not something that we can rely on as faculty."
Now
"...these tools have shown a high false-positive rate, meaning we cannot rely on them as faculty."

University of Delaware. The Graduate College's Steps to Graduation page this institution's page quotes on iThenticate reworded its instruction. The nightly review first caught the difference Sep 26 and it stood unchanged through Sep 29; confirmed still reworded and corrected on the page Oct 1. Same instruction, same scope — copyright and plagiarism review, not AI-writing detection. UD's page, change log at the bottom.

Was
"Utilize iThenticate for document review for copyright or plagiarism infringement."
Now
"Use iThenticate to review your document for copyright or plagiarism infringement."

What looked like a change and was not

A monthly tool compares every retained capture against the one before it and flagged 23 differences this month. Only the two above were an institution rewording something its page quotes. The rest were this project's own tools reading an unchanged page differently, mostly as roughly twenty institutions' captures were standardized onto a recorded, repeatable method during September — navigation menus, cookie banners, event listings and analytics tags being picked up or dropped, none of it quoted anywhere on this site.

Liberty University. One capture briefly looked like Liberty had deleted the appeal-window and grade-notation language its page quotes, from 12,168 characters of source text to 2,277. Liberty had changed nothing: the text sits in accordion panels marked hidden-until-clicked, and this project's own capture filter was dropping them as chrome. Fixed Sep 13 to keep content hidden only because a disclosure widget starts collapsed, while still dropping genuine chrome.

Louisiana State University. A capture of the LSU System's own ombuds page (a page this institution's page does not cite) showed it renamed itself from "Office of the Ombudsperson" to "University Ombuds Office" between Sep 3 and Sep 12. The campus ombuds page this site does cite already used the current name; nothing on the page changed.

Three standing mismatches. On Arkansas, Phoenix and Temple, the page and its cited PDF are both correct, and a few words will not trace mechanically because of how the text-extraction tool reads that particular document — a page-footer number interleaved mid-sentence, or a kerning gap a PDF's own text layer carries. Each was accepted in September as a documented tradeoff and is not counted as a change by the institution.

Corrections to these pages

None this month. Every difference this project's own tools found in September traced to either an institution's own wording or this project's capture method — never to an error in what a page itself asserted.

Published and deepened

New pages. 94 institution pages were added in September, bringing the collection from 61 to 155.

Repeatable capture. At the start of the month 23 pages could be re-captured from their sources by a recorded method that reproduces the same text each time. At the end, 134 could.

Archive coverage. Internet Archive captures went from 2 of 61 pages to 42 of 155. The archive layer runs permanently behind new pages by design — five new pages a night bring in more new sources than one capture pass can confirm in the same night — so a growing number still waiting is expected and reported here rather than chased.

Western Governors University. Five of this page's six sources sit behind a Cloudflare challenge that had kept this project from ever actually reading three of them; read by hand and saved for future capture Sep 13, bringing the page from 11 standing mismatches against its own sources to one.

Where an institution's own documents disagree

None recorded this month.

Written from the pages' own change logs and from the retained captures of each source, read for this issue.
